NYC’s Top Hotels for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a special holiday in the U.S., celebrated as a time for families to come together. While many Americans visiting NYC during Thanksgiving stay with relatives, others come for different reasons. Some visit because their child is performing in the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, while others are fulfilling a lifelong dream to see the parade in person.

For international travelers unfamiliar with the holiday, Thanksgiving falls on the last Thursday of November and is a time to gather with loved ones, share a meal, and reflect on the good in our lives.

Thanksgiving is also a great opportunity to score deals on hotels, especially if you book early. The hotels we recommend are ideal for a restful stay and prime viewing locations for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The parade route travels down Central Park West to 59th Street, then east to 6th Avenue, continuing south to 34th Street and Herald Square, where Macy's is located.

If this is your first time reading our travel blog, here’s our introduction. We connect local travel advisors to overnight visitors so they can collaborate on a personalized travel itinerary and save time planning things to do. Space is limited. Reserve time with our team early.

Our team of trip consultants builds tailored plans for travelers from around the world visiting NYC. After building thousands of plans, we can firmly say no two people travel the same. People may want to visit similar attractions like Broadway, Times Square, and Central Park, but the way each is experienced is completely different. Families are different from couples, which are different solo travelers. Then there are personal preferences and food considerations, which never make 2 plans the same.

We use a 3-step process to tailor each plan:

Step 1: Bucket your must-see attractions

Step 2: Add in restaurants, rooftops & other hidden gems

Step 3: Create a custom map and provide transportation tips, so you know the best way to navigate the city.
